CASwell has introduced the new R2-1218 high-end cloud storage servers to provide high processing performance, fast data access and flexible storage configurations. This devices is based on two Intel Xeon Haswell/Broadwell-EP Processors using the C612 platform controller hub (Wellsburg) and offering 16 DIMM slots for up to 512 GByte DDR4-2400 ECC main memory. These cloud storage servers are equipped with two Gigabit-Ethernet RJ-45 ports. Two redundant power supplies provide security in case of failure. PMBus 1.2 is supported for digital management of the PSUs and the “Intelligent Platform Management Interface” (IPMI 2.0) is used for system monitoring and administration.
