CASwell has revealed two new fanless desktop appliances built for fast multi-channel networking and high reliability. CASwell CAF-0262 is based on Intel Atom C3000 (Denverton NS) processors supporting Intel QuickAssist Technology to increase performance and efficiency of tasks for security, authentification and compression. Intel QAT is especially useful for these devices as they can be equipped with a variety of Ethernet ports for local networking plus WiFi and LTE modules for wireless and cellular connectivity. Both new solutions are predestined for energy efficient and quiet operation.
CASwell CAF-0262 offer four Gigabit-Ethernet ports with dual Bypass functionality in case of failure. For optional wireless connections there is one mPCIe port onboard for a WiFi module and one M.2 socket for a LTE module plus SIM card. A “Trusted Platform Module” (TPM) for encryption, authentification and digital rights management is also available.
The CAF-0262 can also be provided with a Dual-Core Atom C3338 and DDR4-1866 RAM for an even higher price-performance-ratio.
With their fanless design and multiple networking options the CAF-0262 are highly suitable for almost every small or medium-sized office or workplace in need of high and fast connectivity.
