2026/7/3 – CASwell Inc., a leading manufacturer of purpose-built network security and edge computing platforms, today announced the CAR-6060, its latest 2U rackmount network appliance designed for next-generation cybersecurity, secure networking, and AI-assisted security workloads. Succeeding the CAR-6040 introduced in 2024, the new platform leverages Intel’s latest Xeon 6 processors (Granite Rapids-SP) to deliver substantially higher compute performance, expanded memory bandwidth, and increased deployment flexibility.
Designed for OEMs, system integrators, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and enterprise security vendors, the CAR-6060 supports a broad range of Intel Xeon 6 processors, from the 12-core Xeon 6505P up to the 80-core Xeon 6781P, enabling customers to optimize performance and power consumption for applications ranging from branch firewalls to high-performance data center security gateways.
“The increasing use of encrypted traffic, AI-powered threat detection, and advanced network analytics requires significantly more processing power than previous generations of security appliances,” said Reaforl Hong, CEO of CASwell. “With Intel Xeon 6 processors, the CAR-6060 provides the compute scalability, networking flexibility, and expansion capabilities our customers need to build the next generation of cybersecurity platforms.”
Flexible Network and AI Expansion
The CAR-6060 continues CASwell’s commitment to modular network appliances through support for the company’s proprietary Network Interface Modules (NIN).
Customers can choose between two hardware configurations:
- Up to eight NIN expansion slots for maximum networking flexibility and high port density.
- A hybrid configuration combining four NIN slots with two full-height, full-length (FHFL) PCIe 5.0 expansion slots, allowing integration of AI accelerator cards, SmartNICs, FPGA cards, high-speed storage adapters, or other specialized PCIe devices.
Both configurations additionally provide an internal half-height, half-length PCIe 5.0 expansion slot, offering further flexibility for storage, acceleration, or custom functionality without occupying external expansion capacity.
Built for High-Performance Security Workloads
Powered by Intel’s Granite Rapids-SP architecture, the CAR-6060 supports one Intel Xeon 6 processor (Socket E2B / FCLGA4710) with a TDP up to 350W and 16 DDR5 RDIMM slots for up to 768GB of main memory operating at speeds of up to 6400 MT/s. The platform is engineered to handle demanding applications including Next-generation firewalls (NGFW), Unified Threat Management (UTM), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), SD-WAN security, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), VPN concentrators, AI-assisted threat detection and analytics, and network traffic inspection and telemetry.
Summary and availability
The CAR-6060 incorporates enterprise-grade reliability and management features designed for continuous operation in mission-critical environments. The combination of Intel Xeon 6 processing power, DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 expansion, and CASwell’s modular networking architecture enables customers to build highly scalable security appliances capable of addressing evolving enterprise and cloud security requirements.
The CASwell CAR-6060 is available for customer evaluation immediately. Production availability and regional configurations are available upon request through CASwell and its global sales partners.
