CASwell CAW-0111 Ruggized Industrial Network Appliance With Dual Gen.3 Bypass Design

Fanless Desktop White Box Based On Intel Apollo Lake-I Offering 5x Gbit-Ethernet At Extremely Low And High Temperatures

11/21/2018 – CASwell has added the new CAW-0111 desktop network appliance to its range of industrial control systems qualified for demanding environment at either very low or very high temperatures. This ruggized industrial-grade device is based on the identical energy-efficient Intel Atom Apollo Lake-I platform manufactured in proven 14 nm technology as the recently released CAW-0110 and uses the same fanless design for quiet operation but provides more standard Ethernet ports with two pairs of Bypass switches for even more reliability.

The CASwell CAW-0111 replaces the WiFi option and the two SFP ports of the CAW-0110 with another RJ-45 Gigabit-Ethernet connector and added another Bypass switch to ensure that the connected networks keeps running even during maintenance or in case of power outages.

Both the CASwell CAW-0111 and the CAW-0110 are using the Intel Atom x7-E3950 quad-core processor with up to 2 Ghz combined with 4 or 8 GByte of DDR3L SO-DIMM main memory (1600 or 1866 MHz) that guarantees high performance for every networking requirement.

For projects with energy restrictions the CAW-0111 can also be equipped with an Atom x5-E3940 or x5-E3930 dual-core CPU with TDPs of only 9.5 or 6.5 Watts respectively.

The CASwell CAW-0111 is compliant with the IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 industry standards for electronic networking devices to be safely used even in electric power stations and can operate at temperatures as low as -40°C and as high as 70°C.

The CASwell CAW-0111 is available already and can be customized for almost every customer need and networking requirement.
