2025/12/25 – CASwell Inc., a leading provider of network security appliances, edge computing platforms and industrial computing solutions, continues to strengthen its role as a technology partner and ecosystem enabler for promising Taiwanese startups. A prominent example is FiduciaEdge Technologies, a Taiwanese deep-tech company developing trusted edge computing and cybersecurity technologies for 5G, AIoT and distributed computing environments.
CASwell’s engagement with FiduciaEdge extends beyond a conventional technology partnership. From Taiwanese innovation to international 5G markets
FiduciaEdge, a spin-off from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, specializes in trusted and confidential edge computing. Its technologies are designed to protect data, applications and AI workloads in distributed computing environments while enabling cloud-native applications to operate securely at the edge.
The company’s technology has already demonstrated significant international potential. FiduciaEdge entered into a cooperation with IS-Wireless, a European provider of 5G Open RAN solutions, to develop integrated solutions for secure private 5G networks. The cooperation combines IS-Wireless’ cloud-native O-RAN software with FiduciaEdge’s trusted edge computing platform and addresses applications including smart manufacturing and other environments where secure, flexible and cost-efficient private networks are required.
The cooperation demonstrates how Taiwanese deep-tech innovation can become part of international telecommunications ecosystems. By combining trusted edge computing with Open RAN architectures, the partners are working toward secure and flexible private 5G deployments while addressing the requirements of multi-tenant and distributed network environments.
Recognition from Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem
FiduciaEdge has also received recognition and support from Taiwan’s government. The company participated in the “Trustworthy 5G Shared Network” project under Taiwan’s A+ Enterprise Innovation R&D Program. The project involved CASwell and FiduciaEdge and focused on developing technologies for secure and trusted shared 5G network infrastructure.
The recognition reflects the growing importance of technologies that combine Taiwan’s strengths in networking hardware, telecommunications, cybersecurity and edge computing. CASwell platforms help turn innovation into deployable solutions
A key element of the relationship between CASwell and FiduciaEdge is the integration of innovative software technologies with production-ready computing platforms.
FiduciaEdge’s TSORAN™ (Trustworthy Shared 5G O-RAN) architecture, for example, was demonstrated on CASwell’s CAR-5060 edge server. The platform provides the processing capability, PCIe expansion and hardware root of trust required for demanding O-RAN and secure edge-computing workloads.
TSORAN is designed to enable multiple network operators or service providers to share O-RAN infrastructure while maintaining network isolation, quality of service and security. Such architectures can help reduce infrastructure costs while making private 5G deployments more flexible and scalable.
The cooperation has already generated international recognition. At the 2025 MobileHeroes Global Communications Competition, FiduciaEdge’s TSORAN solution received a Top Selection Award and a US$20,000 prize. The international competition focuses on innovations in 5G, edge computing and AI and attracts teams from more than 20 countries.
For CASwell, the recognition provides further evidence that technologies developed by Taiwanese startups can compete successfully in international technology ecosystems.
