Caswell, Inc. a global-leading innovator and supplier of embedded networking appliance and a member of the Intel® Embedded and Communications Alliance (Intel® ECA), today announces NAR-7102, the first 1U high performance multi-core security and network application platform, which supports new LGA-1366 micro-architecture with two CPUs, DDR3 memory, QPI and PCI-Express Generation two.

Powerful 1U Rackmount Solution

NAR-7102 targets on high-end network appliance market and offers the latest features of Intel’s most advanced processors and chipsets, such as Xeon CPUs, triple channel DDR3 memory, PCI Express Gen 2 and Quick Path Interconnect technology. It’s ideally positioned for applications such as high-end Unified Threat Management (UTM) and in applications with large I/O bandwidth requirements such as IPS, IDS, Anti-virus, Firewall, VPN, Content Filtering and so forth.

High performance and flexible modules

The capabilities of the latest generation of two quad-core Intel® Xeon® Processors with 6.4GT/s QPI enhance performance for enterprise-class networks appliance. Ten DIMM sockets in NAR-7102 support up to 40GB DDR3 memory. NAR-7102 support PCI-Express x8 slots for different kind of PCI-Express Generation one or two, 10G or GbE, Copper or Fiber, w/ bypass or w/o bypass modules, and one PCI-Express x8 expansion slot for standard add-on cards. Two internal 2.5” HDD and alternative LCD modules are integrated in NAR-7102.

First dual Xeon® 1U platform
